Abstract

The landscape design for the Google Java project is founded on an ecologically driven approach with a focus on wellness, collaboration, connectivity, and a celebration of Google’s key values. The design response has been integrated within the greater vision, including the connectivity of the green link, West Campus, and caspian promenade design, the re-oaking of the South Bay landscape, and wellness and environment options.

The site’s two existing buildings (F and G) and the proposed new office building (H), parking structure, and district fitness center can be accessed via light rail, rideshare, local bike routes, and personal vehicles. Site circulation originates from these access points. At the corner of Java and bordeaus, a series of paths connect the lobby to building H with the adjacent light tail stop.
